Health & Safety (First Aid)

First Aid training can instill confidence in a person's ability to react quickly and calmly to and emergency health, illness or injury situation.  Suitable training enables staff to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, these courses will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since previous courses were completed.

The knowledge gained during these courses is designed to cover a range of different situations within a school environment including unresponsive casualties, choking, external bleeding, minor injuries (small cuts/grazes, splinters, nosebleeds), seizures, asthma, diabetic emergencies and febrile convulsions.
