As the only trust in Cornwall offering Teacher Training Internships, CELT is proud to play a leading role in supporting and inspiring the next generation of teachers.
Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is delighted to welcome 10 teacher training interns to its Centre of Excellence as part of the Department for Education’s Teacher Internship Programme.
Over the next three weeks, the interns will gain first-hand experience of life in schools across our Trust, exploring the teaching profession and developing a deeper understanding of the impact that high-quality teaching has on learners every day.
The programme is designed to give participants valuable insight into a career in education, providing opportunities to observe lessons, engage with education professionals and experience the many different aspects of school life.
CELT is particularly pleased to welcome Mikey, a former student of Newquay Tretherras, who has returned to the Trust as one of this year’s interns. His journey from pupil to participant in the national programme highlights the opportunities available to young people considering a future in teaching.
As the only trust in Cornwall offering the Teacher Internship Programme, CELT is proud to play a leading role in supporting and inspiring the next generation of teachers. Through initiatives such as this, CELT continues its commitment to developing future talent and strengthening the education workforce for years to come.
“We are delighted to welcome our teacher training interns to the Centre of Excellence. This programme provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to experience the reality of school life and gain valuable insight into the teaching profession.”
Hayley Bissenden, Director of CELT Centre of Excellence
CELT wishes all 10 interns a rewarding and inspiring experience and looks forward to seeing where their future careers in education may lead.
