CELT Shared Services INSET Day

Last week CELT held our first ever shared services INSET day including our people services, communications, finance, centre of excellence and health and safety teams. This was an incredible opportunity punctuated by teamwork, personal agency, inspiring key notes and impactful activities. The day was all about supporting our teams so we can continue to support the trust.

Our colleagues worked on communicating how we work in our trust and what we do to better understand the roles and responsibilities our colleagues have. This day also included wonderful performances from our learners at Penrice Academy, highlighting the talent we must nurture within our trust. The day was an all-round success ending in the services creating a team commitment statement to strive towards in the year to follow.

Our INSET day kicked off with a key notes speech from Trust Lead Dan Morrows, sharing how we as a trust can overcome barriers to learning, regulation, relationships and behaviour and our impact, our purpose. This helps us support each other, give recognition and empowerment. To help our shared services connect their day-to-day work with the trust mission we worked on the idea of ‘I do this so that…’ to keep sight of the wider purpose and ensure all of our colleagues feel supported and recognised.

Sometimes as a support service the shared goal isn’t as clear as other teams, these days where we can all connect help us empower each other into achieving our goals, highlighting why we do the work we do to achieve our shared ambitions and continuing to build a trust we are proud to be a part of.
