researchED Cornwall returned bigger and better than ever.
Hundreds of educators gathered at Penrice Academy on Saturday for researchED Cornwall 3, a day focused on evidence-informed practice and professional learning.
Hosted by Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), Truro and Penwith Academy Trust (TPAT) and Penryn College, the conference welcomed teachers, school leaders, support staff and trainee teachers from across Cornwall and beyond.
The programme featured sessions from nationally-recognised speakers and experienced practitioners, covering subjects including literacy, curriculum design, inclusion and leadership. Delegates had the opportunity to hear the latest thinking in education and consider how it could be applied in their own settings.
This year's conference theme was Mission Coastal, exploring how evidence-informed practice, collaboration and place-based improvement can help tackle disadvantage, raise standards and improve life chances for children in coastal communities.
One of the strengths of researchED Cornwall is the opportunity it creates for professional discussion. Between sessions, delegates shared experiences, explored different viewpoints and continued conversations over coffee.
CELT would like to thank all the speakers who gave their time to contribute to the event. Their expertise and willingness to share their work helped make the day such a valuable experience for attendees.
A special thank you also goes to everyone who attended. Choosing to spend a Saturday engaged in professional learning reflects the dedication of educators across the region and their commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
The event was also supported by staff across all three academy trusts who worked behind the scenes to ensure the conference ran smoothly.
As delegates return to their schools, many will be taking away fresh perspectives and practical approaches to explore with colleagues. The discussions that took place throughout the day will continue long after the event itself, supporting improvement across schools in Cornwall and beyond.
