    Information services

We understand that in education, reliable IT isn’t a luxury – it’s essential. That’s why our information services (IS) team works proactively to maintain high standards, safeguard sensitive information, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, so schools can focus on what matters most: teaching and learning.

Our IS team ensures that every school within Cornwall Education Learning Trust benefits from robust, secure, and well-managed technology. This provides the digital foundation that allows our colleagues to work efficiently and learners to thrive.

Migration of all school IS systems to the central CELT tenant, summer 2025

One of our most significant recent undertakings has been the migration of all school information services systems into the central Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) tenant.

This project was a major step towards unifying and streamlining our IT infrastructure across our Trust. By bringing all schools under one secure, centrally managed tenant, we have:

    • improved collaboration – staff can now share documents, resources, and communications seamlessly between schools and central teams
    • enhanced security – a single, well-managed environment ensures consistent protection against cyber threats and data breaches
    • simplified management – updates, permissions, and compliance checks are now handled centrally, reducing the administrative burden on individual schools
    • enabled cost efficiency – consolidating services has reduced duplication and improved value for money across our Trust
    • future-proofed our systems – our new central tenant creates a strong foundation for adopting new tools, services and innovations as they emerge

The migration was carefully planned and executed to minimise disruption to teaching and learning. Our IS Team worked closely with each school to ensure a smooth transition, providing on-site and remote support throughout the process.
