We believe that a great education begins with a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment. Our dedicated estates team works tirelessly across all our schools to ensure that every classroom, corridor, and outdoor space supports the best possible learning experience.
Their work is not just about fixing what is broken – it is about shaping the future of our schools. Whether improving energy efficiency, creating accessible spaces, or designing welcoming outdoor areas, our estates team helps turn big ideas into real, lasting change.
"The work we do, often behind the scenes, ensures that our staff and learners have the best possible spaces to learn, grow, and succeed."
The team is responsible for:
Every new project begins as an idea: a sketch on paper, a conversation in a staff room, a spark of “what if?” From there, the Estates Team gets to work, turning those ideas into real spaces that change the way our schools feel and function.
Over the past year, we have transformed tired spaces, created outdoor areas that encourage play and curiosity, and introduced sustainable upgrades that are already making a difference to energy use.
The long-beloved but ageing music department at Newquay Tertherras had been housed in cramped classrooms and cabins. Music now has a bright, and purpose-built space following the extension and refurbishment project that was completed in 2025.
CELT worked with K&R Project Services to create a facility that now truly meets the demand and ambition of Newquay Tretherras’ young musicians. The modern extension features three brand-new classrooms, individual practice rooms, and a spacious performance area—complete with storage, dedicated toilet facilities, and a welcoming breakout space for sixth-formers.

The Lookout project has transformed a once-overlooked area into a vibrant sand and water garden at Port Isaac Academy.
The journey to The Lookout started with a simple idea: to create an outdoor environment that would inspire curiosity and learning. With the support of the broader community, the project took shape, incorporating elements that reflect the natural beauty of Port Isaac. The garden now features sand and water play areas, providing young learners with tactile experiences that will help to develop motor skills and encourage creative play.
