We believe governance should be rooted in service to our communities – strengthening them, supporting our schools, and helping every child to thrive.
Our Board of trustees holds three key responsibilities:
Setting the direction – ensuring a clear vision, shared ethos and ambitious strategy for all CELT schools
Driving improvement – holding our leaders to account for the quality of education and outcomes for every learner
Ensuring stewardship – overseeing the Trust’s financial performance to make certain that resources are used wisely and for the benefit of our learners
Through our scheme of delegation, authority is shared with our committees and with the local tiers of each school. This ensures decisions are made as close as possible to our children and communities, while staying aligned with the values and strategic direction of CELT.
